Cherry Garcia was a pit bull rescued from an illegal dogfighting operation on an NFL quarterback player’s ranch. He has gone through therapy and now lives with a loving family. The lovely Pitbull enjoys swimming, spending time with his family, and cuddling with the kittens.
Cherry’s owner, Paul Fiaccone, said the dog liked the kittens. The family has two kittens, and the dog appears to de-stress whenever he spends time with them. After some time, the family learned that Bark Post, a pup-centric website, chose Cherry as the well-deserved puppy who would enjoy 24-hours of fun and enjoyment.
They’ll film everything that happens during the event and feature it in their Dog’s Best Day video series. The Bark Post and Friends of Berlin Animal Control collaborated to give Cherry a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Cherry had a wonderful time on his special day.
No one would guess he was formerly a rescued dog who suffered from brutal abuse. At the time of the rescue, some rescue organizations believed the canines’ injuries were irreversible. They even considered euthanizing the animals as a preferable option. However, the Best Friends Animal Society strongly opposed it.
According to Michelle Weaver of animal care, Cherry would lay flat on his tummy anytime they tried to walk him. This is a clear sign of the dog’s fear. Nevertheless, they never gave up on Cherry.
Fortunately, they were able to turn him into a lively dog. Fiaccone said that it was great to see Cherry bond with his son and newborn daughter. It’s comforting to know that the dog will always protect them both.
He could no longer imagine his family living without Cherry. He also said that Cherry taught them that nothing can stop anyone from enjoying life to the fullest. Just like Cherry, who took on all of life’s obstacles head-on.
