Stella, a golden retriever and Chow Chow cross, is a loving dog with an obsession for squirrels. When the weather was pleasant, she would sit on her family’s back porch and observe the lawn. However, her most important duty while lounging there is to keep an eye out for squirrels that may attempt to enter her territory.
When winter arrives, Stella spends the majority of her time indoors. The squirrels, however, prefer to remain in their trees, making it unlikely for Stella to see them. Therefore, she makes do with her plush squirrel toy. Nonetheless, this does not excite the dog as much as seeing real squirrels outdoors.
Stella’s mother, Bronwyn Crawford, and her boyfriend decided to find another way to entertain their pet dog. The couple discovered a television program that they believe was created specifically for Stella.
Bronwyn played the video of what she called “dog television,” which featured birds, chipmunks, and Stella’s favorite animal, squirrels. Stella was immediately intrigued by the close-ups of the exotic animals. Although her parents had hoped that this might amuse their dog, they were amazed by how well it worked.
According to Bronwyn, Stella was so captivated by the entire show right at the beginning. Stella had never before paid attention to the television, so the couple found her reaction to be entertaining. It seemed as if they brought the squirrels directly to the rescue dog, who couldn’t get enough of them.
That day, Stella spent one hour in front of the television. Now, she sits and waits for her mother to switch on the television.
Bronwyn stated that Stella provides them with so much happiness, so they are thrilled to have discovered a way to make her life even more pleasurable. After all, this dog deserves all the happiness in the world.
