Wedding rings are pretty valuable baubles. Not only are these pieces of jewelry expensive, but they also have sentimental values. That’s why a person can get pretty upset if their spouse had lost their wedding ring. It symbolizes the promise that they made to each other, so it must be on them at all times.
When Lois Matykowski’s ring got lost, she never hoped to find it again. It took her five years to be reunited with her valuable trinket, and the way she found it was pretty surprising. Although she had no idea how it went missing in the first place, Lois was able to solve the puzzle afterward.
It all started when Lois and her granddaughters were enjoying some popsicles out on their front yard. When Lois looked away, she started to hear her dog, Tucker, cough as if he was about to vomit. This 10-year-old Rottweiler mix is notorious for stealing his humans’ food, and this episode was no exception.
He stole a popsicle from one of Lois’ grandkids and swallowed it whole. The pup even ingested the popsicle stick but puked it right back out. Lois brought him directly to the vet, and after a few tests, they were sent back home with a clean bill of health. However, after two days, Tucker vomited again.
This time around, he regurgitated something shiny; it was Lois’ wedding ring that went missing five years ago! Lois’ jaw just dropped to the floor when she saw her ring. She was so heartbroken when it was lost as she upgraded the ring’s pieces to commemorate her 20th wedding anniversary.
That’s why she is on cloud nine since she found the ring. Although it was Tucker who ate the ring in the first place, Lois hails her pup as a hero. The vet explained that the popsicle stick must’ve dislodged the ring from Tucker’s stomach, that’s why it came back out. Lois was so happy that she didn’t even mind that Tucker threw up all over her carpet when she found the ring.
