Collin and Katy loved fostering animals, so they decided to go to For Blake’s Sake Animal Rescue and look for a dog to foster. The couple ended up taking home a beautiful yet stressed-looking gray Pit Bull named Raven.
The couple found out why Raven was restless because going in and out of the shelter caused a great deal of stress. Collin believes that they made the right choice of choosing Raven as their next foster because she needed to spend time in a home to have any chance of being a family dog.
Collin wanted to get to know Raven, so he took her with him into the backyard for a quick stretch. Collin saw some of Raven’s personality and found out that she was a complete clingy goofball.
Collin described Raven as a velcro dog because she always followed him around and wanted to be next to him all day. However, the couple soon figured out that Raven hated being next to other dogs when they saw her barking at their two dogs while being introduced outside.
The couple introduced Raven to their dogs inside their house and made sure that they were supervised. Luckily, it turned out to be better than expected because Raven was agitated during the first introduction.
Collin and Katy worked on doing the same routine every day for a month until Raven got used to being around her foster doggy siblings. The couple eventually received a call from a young couple with a child interested in adopting Raven.
The young couple did a foster-to-adopt for two weeks to make sure that Raven would get along with their child. Everyone saw how sweet Raven was with the three-year-old toddler, so she ended up getting adopted and finding her fur-ever home.
