Puppies can be so rowdy and mischievous, and they often find themselves stuck in embarrassing situations. A 10-week-old pup from Texas proved just that after he got his head stuck in a cornhole board.
Coincidentally, the pup’s name is Ace. And he unintentionally gave the phrase “ace in the hole” a new meaning. Don’t worry, though, as he was able to get his head out of this sticky dilemma.
Freeing Ace from the hole
A family from Fair Oaks Ranch was gardening when it was caught off guard by its dog who was in an odd yet amusing condition. According to a report from a local news outlet, Ace’s head was accidentally stuck in one of the holes of a cornhole board.
The family didn’t waste time, and it immediately tried to free Ace. But all the methods the family members could think of weren’t successful.
Kurt Leslie, Ace’s owner, said that he and his family decided to call the Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department. Calling the authorities, Kurt jokingly mentioned that the family had an Ace in the hole.
Then, Officer Michael Maddox arrived at the family’s home, shortly followed by Officer Amanda Hinojosa. The officers took a quick few minutes to formulate a plan.
The family then held the dog, while the two officers managed to maneuver Ace out of the hole.
Ace is a-ok!
Kurt shared a picture of the newly freed dog together with the rescuing police officers, who he thanked for helping his family.
Thankfully, Ace was a-ok! He was not injured, and he seemed unbothered by the predicament he had been through.
Two days after the incident, the family decided to treat Ace to his own Easter basket, which was filled with tasty treats and brand-new toys that he could play with.
