When dogs are adopted or fostered, they often get showered with gifts. People give them toys and bags of treats. But a man named Rocky Kanaka chose to go all out and baked a cake for a dog he was going to foster.
Rocky had been waiting for months so he could foster a new dog. This was because the animal shelter he contacted needed to give their approval first. After some time, he was allowed to take home one dog of his choice.
When his application got accepted, he decided to bake a large cake for the dog he’s fostering. The cake was shaped like a large bone and was decorated with the message “Happy Gotcha Day.” His wife also helped him in decorating the cake.
Rocky wanted to foster multiple dogs, but the shelter only allowed him to take one. When he arrived at the animal shelter, Rocky finally gave his gift to the dog he was going to foster, which was a bulldog. He became emotional as he was preparing to take the dog home.
When Rocky brought the bulldog out of the shelter, people were cheering left and right. The shelter employees were happy to see the dog finally on his way to a foster home. Rocky opted not to use a crate on the way home since the dog had a past trauma related to cages and crates.
The dog was unleashed when it arrived at Rocky’s backyard. The foster parent knew the dog would not run away. If the bulldog did run, it wouldn’t get far because it had issues with its back legs.
Rocky stated he has a lot of plans for his new foster dog. He had not given it a name yet because he wanted his YouTube subscribers to suggest one. Furthermore, he said he’s going to make a lot of videos featuring the bulldog and its journey towards better health.
